Saturday: From Caplestown car park walking to Kirwans Hut (1280m) and maybe Kirwans Hill Sunday: The same way out. There is a steady 6 hr and 1080 m climb to Kirwans Hut near the bushline. An extra 50 min side trip leads to Kirwans Hill with views over the Victoria Range. Kirwans Hut: 12b, 3 standard hut tickets or 1 serviced hut ticket or Backcountry Hut Pass, Map Series: Topo 50 BS22
