We will use this easy day trip on a popular track in Nelson's backyard as a followup to our Youth Day on 30th September. The aim is to provide some basic training and experience in an enjoyable outdoor setting. From Hackett car park follow the track along the pretty stream and gorge to the Hackett Hut. Continue on the loop rejoining the main Browning track. Depending on the ability, energy and enthusiasm of the group, we can either just return down this track or go further e.g. to Browning Hut or do a bit of off-track exploration. This will be a closely supervised trip suitable for families and beginners.
