Connor's Creek /Begley/ Hamilton

CANCELLED_- NO INTEREST

Leave Friday afternoon around 3pm, in time to get through the Rainbow station "tollgate" before it closes at 6pm, leaving a bicycle locked to a tree at the exit point by the Hamilton River enroute. 

Drive to the carpark for the Connor's Creek hut and take a short walk into the hut for the night (less than an hour.) (6 bunks- 1 hut ticket or annual hut pass)

Saturday morning walk up Connor's Creek and over a saddle around 1840m down to Begley Hut. (8 bunks- 1 hut ticket or annual hut pass)

On the Sunday an early start initially on a track then route finding up the Begley and over a saddle 1675m to the Hamilton headwaters. A long but pretty descent down the Hamilton to the Rainbow Road where one of our intrepid band will cycle back to get the car. If there is a larger group we could consider a car shuffle.

There is a $25 per car Rainbow Road toll.
