Description
Friday Evening Leave Nelson and stay in Lewis Pass area. This will allow an early start Saturday morning and give us a full day to negotiate our way along the tops. Accommodation at NZDA Palmer Lodge $20/each. Day 1 Enter the Opera Range via Travers Peak track. Walk along the tops passing Trovatore and Discovery Peak then down to Anne River Hut. Day 2 Complete the circuit by heading up the Henry River and onto the Zampa Tops, then along and down spur to Maruia River, Right Branch. Crampon and ice axe skills required.
