Anzac Day weekend

A fabulous ridgetops trip along the stunning Lockett Range from West to East. Saturday: drive to Trilobite Hut car park either leaving a vehicle or a bicycle by the Sylvester Hut car park. Walk in to Fenella Hut and stay a night. Sunday: walk along the Lockett range and camp by Ruby or Diamond Lake. Monday: walk over Iron Hill and down to Sylvester Hut and to carpark. Retrieve car(s) to head home. Could be combined with another party to do an easy trip to Fenella / return trip with a day exploring the tops (who could cooperate with car shuttles.) May change direction of the tramp depending on the weather which would need to be clear. If the forecast was totally unsuitable in the Cobb area closer to the time, a trip in Nelson Lakes over Robert Ridge to Angelus, over Sunset Saddle and down Hopeless Creek and hut and round via Coldwater Hut might be a viable alternative.
