This familiar circuit under Mt Arthur is ever-popular due to the interesting and varied alpine / sub-alpine territory. Starting at Flora carpark, we will head for Flora Hut where we will make a quick inspection of the status of our renovations and review the work to be done in the W-bunkroom this summer. Then on up the Flora track and turn off to the good track to historic Cloustons Mine. From here it is a short but steep route to the top of Gordons Pyramid. Thence left down the ridge on a poled route into the karst basin under Mt Arthur and up to the main track junction. Down we will amble to Mt Arthur Hut and thence back to Flora carpark. Perhaps 8-9 hr for the moderately fit but no great rush being summer so long as the weather is favourable.
