Located in the Ferny Gair conservation area, South Marlborough. Drive a farm track for 6kms before leaving the vehicles and follow the right branch of the Tummil river through native bush, valley flats and some steep hill climbs taking approx 4 - 5 hours to a pretty lake and near new six bunk hut. Next day we will return the way we came. There is also the option of a further loop track if energy and time permit. Late bookings may require a tent. Map Series: Topo50 BR27 |
