Note: Away deep in the Sounds. I will be out of direct contact until Thursday, July 30. I will pickup phone and internet message on my return. Pat Holland (539 1340) will field any questions in my absence. I will check with Pat frequently. Alternately, send a text (to me) 021 104 4928. Sorry about this. Saturday: Along Robert Ridge to Angelus Hut. Sunday: Climb Angelus Peak, return to hut for lunch, then head back along Robert Ridge and home. Axes and crampons. Alternative If possible I would like to travel in on Friday night under a reasonably full moon. Could be a good experience. Arrive at the hut early Saturday morning. This will depend if we can split the trip, or everyone is happy to travel under moonlight. Anyway, we will see how things pan out. Map Series: Topo50 BS24 |
