After driving to Rainbow Skifield we will give training on some basics of handling an iceaxe and wearing crampons. Also moving confidently and safely on snow, ascending and descending steeper slopes and self arrest. If the team proves keen and competent then an ascent of nearby Peanter Peak will be attempted. In any case a good day out and training for future snow trips. The club has crampons and ice axes for loan - advise trip leader when booking in.
