Description  

Saturday - Drive 2 hours from Nelson to Timms Creek road end and climb to Mt. Fell Hut (6 bunks, approx. 5-6 hours, 1000m climb) and if time allows go for a walk from the hut in the afternoon to enjoy the views. There is a full moon this weekend and if there is snow this could be spectacular.

Sunday - Get up as early as possible and explore the Mt. Fell ridge with day packs. (For those who didn't go on the ANZAC day trip it is easy to find the plane wreckage of the Kereru from here.) Walk out and drive home.
