Description  

Last minute change. Now Mt Cupola due to road outage at Six Mile Creek making Mt Paske undoable.

Queen's Birthday weekend.

Day 1: 4WD along the Wairau Road to the start of the Rainbow Valley. Walk up the valley, then up Paske Creek to the hut at the head of the valley.

Day 2: Early start and walk up the valley and climb Mt Paske by the South-West Ridge.

Day 3: Checkout Paske Saddle, or even climb Mt Dora, or just relax. Return and out.

Enjoy a great valley, simple hut (6), open fire and of course the mountains.

Ice axe and crampons required. We need a bit of snow, so if you have time a little snow dancing would be good.

Note: $25 per vehicle for gate key.
