Description  

From Lake Chalice car park, steeply down to the hut, round the lake then follow Goulter River to Old Man track junction. Head north to climb up to Old Man Hut (5 bunks, 1 hut ticket per night) for two nights. Day two day-walk: climb steeply up and over Little Rintoul to summit of Mt Rintoul, then back to the hut. Day three: retrace track to cars. 6-7 hours walk in on first day with 500m climb.
