Description  

Sunday

From the Maitai Dam caretaker's house, across the dam wall, over the river and up the track to Dun Saddle. From here it's over Dun Mountain and Little Twin to Dew Lakes. There's an opportunity for some to bail out here and head back down to the dam. Those feeling good can add an hour on by going over Maungatapu and returning via Mangatapu Road. Approx. 25 km with 1600m climbing. Should take 7-8 hours for the full circuit.
