Description  

EPIC: Adventures Across Aotearoa | Book on Southern Alps traverses, sea kayak expeditions, ultra runs from Cape to Bluff, and more!

Over the last 50 years, sea kayakers, climbers and alpine trampers have been attempting audacious journeys across NZ that last many months. Most of these adventurers have written books on their travels. In EPIC, these tales have been condensed and retold. Folks featured include:

• Sir Graeme Dingle and Jill Tremain attempting the first traverse of the Southern Alps in 1971
• Paul Caffyn's first circumnavigation of the South Island in 1977
• Brando Yelavich a.k.a. 'Wild boy', who walked for 600 days around the coast of Aotearoa, alone.
• Alistair McDowell's recent incredible, death-defying climb of NZ's 24 highest peaks in only 30 days. (Ray will show you filmed interviews with Sir Graeme Dingle, Alastair McDowell and others.)
