Description

Stay at Kaihoka Farm stay Homestead. Do day walks in the surounding hills. Very close to Wharariki Beach, 25min drive from Collingwood. There are various tramping options that differ in length and difficulty. We have booked the Homestead on Kaihoka Farm. Sleeps 16, in various bedrooms and 2 lounges. Good place to stay and be cosy at night while days are getting shorter. Self catering, kitchen available. More details on tramps to come. I have not stayed and walked there, but the Waimea Club have. So, I trust there are enough long walks ;)We aim to leave Friday morning, to make to most of it. Even if we can't check in at lunchtime, we can go walking. Also, we ll walk on Sunday before driving home in the late afternoon, early evening. Those having to work on Friday can still drive over after work and join us in the evening. Please indicate what time you can leave on Friday when you register.Price is $25 pp per night or less, depending on numbers. Bring sleeping bags.Once you register, you are committed to come and pay, because we have to pay for the homestead .

Registration

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
