To avoid the nasty Saturday weather forecast, let's do a daytrip on Sunday :-)

Beginning at the Maitai Dam, walk up the South Branch up into Windtrap Gully, topping out on Dun Saddle. A short scramble gets us to the old Dun Shelter, a red stone's throw from the trig pipe. A traverse of the Bryant Range over Dun Mtn and Little Twin brings us to the Dew-bious Lakes. A left turn follows the historic Maori trail down to the argillite quarry and Rush Pools. A steep-ish descent is made back to the Dam.

Distance: 22km
Time: 6-7 hours
Depart: 8am Sunday at Church Steps

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
