Description
A chance to practice your ice-axe and cramponing technique over a weekend.
Lake Angelus is a spectacular location, in an alpine environment, which must be respected.
This trip is weather-dependent, numbers-dependent, and snow-dependent. If all three align, it's 'all systems go.'
Ice-axes and crampons can be borrowed from the club gear officer, but you should know how to use them beforehand.
Lake Angelus Hut (28 bunks) needs booking in advance to secure bunks. See the 'Book Now' link on this webpage:
As it's quite an expedition to reach the hut before darkness descends, this overnighter is only for fit folks.
If you're unsure, contact the trip leader. He won't bite :-)
Registration It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor).
