Description
Changed Destination Coppermine Saddle from Maitai Dam and return - No river crossings. Club trip to thius newly opened up track. It is a long route, approx 800M climb on a rough track. Leave from Hackett car park, and from the Whispering Falls track we head up Heartbreak ridge. This ridge is steep, but it eventually settles to an easiergrade and leaves the open ridge and goes into beech forest. There is a short steep climb up to Totara Saddle, then mostly downhill via Browning and Hackett Huts and back to the car park.
Registration
