Description

  

This is a challenging multi day trip that will require good weather to go ahead. A good level of fitness will be necessary and experience of tramping and camping out on the tops. Please discuss with the trip leader if you are uncertain of your ability to manage this trip.
Day 1: Car pool from outside badminton club in Richmond leaving 7.30 am. Drive to road end car park at Matakitaki Station (will drop bicycle(s?) by the track end from Jamieson Ridge on the drive in.)
Walk up Watson's Creek to camp at the head of the valley to camp.
Day 2: access the Mole Tops from the head of Watson's Creek and find a suitable campsite. Explore the tops for the day.
Day 3: Descend to the Mole Saddle (a very steep 400m clamber down.) Gain the track down Jamieson Ridge and wander down to the valley floor. One trip member form each vehicle will bike back down the road to collect vehicles for the trip home.

Registration

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
CLUB MEMBERS must LOGIN HERE to register so that your details auto-populate the registration fields. You can edit these auto-populated fields but they aren't saved for later use. To permanently change them, edit them HERE." PLease register couples separately if both are attending.
VISITORS can register using their email address which will be used to send you trip registration confirmation details and the ability to cancel the trip registration. Please register each person attending separately.
