This was a track regularly done by local groups incl the NTC untill about 2006 when it became overgrown. Located at the Hackett we hope to open it up, mark it and hence have another walking option for this popular tramping area. The track goes from near the old washed out bridge on Miner Creek, up a ridge to join the Rocks hut Totara saddle track. An initial foray into this area was made in Nov last year, Ian Morris has continued working on the ridge route and we plan another outing to push this route through to the Totara saddle track. Come with loppers if you are interested in a working day out. |

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
