Anyone want to escape the madness of Christmas for the solitute of the hills? Ok guys, here goes. Lets rock Sunrise ridge by doing a crossover. This saves that long Branch Creek valley walk. Will need enough willing happy trampers so car either end. One party via Courthouse flat, going tracked route or via Billies Knob and drop into Poverty basin to camp Saturday night. Other party Sunrise Peak route to tops and along and down to the basin for Saturday night. Good visability and Nav skills needed for each party and fitness and happiness on rock please. Longish days with good grunty climbs either end. Max people 8, two cars, or 10 depending on cars. Map Series: Topo50 Maps BR23, BQ23 |
