Description

A joint venture with MTC, Thank you to Jill.Join us as we head for a moderate day tramp to Powder valley. Access is up via the Rainbow skifield road. We will rendezvous at the main Skifield car park at the bottom of the road and walk 5km up the road before heading off to the NE.It’s a lovely walk up terraces with tarns and wee waterfalls. If there’s snow about people can get in a bit of self arresting practice at lunchtime. We then sidle the ridge between powder valley and the skifield and drop to the skifield (coffee if the cafes open) then loop down to cars.
Lets prey we get snow on our Mitts and a prelude to lots of lush Powder.

Snow skills not essential but if you are not familiar with crampons this may be an opportunity to trial. The club have sets which can be loaned out, members get priority please and let me know when booking if you need to loan.

Registration

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
