Description

Matariki weekend in Reefton.
A rough plan - Rent and airbnb for 2 nights or cabins at the camp ground.
Sat after arriving do Cement town Ajax mine loop - well gradeed tracks with some interesting old mining relics with stories associated with the mining industry.
Sun or Mon Mt Haast (1587M) 6 hrs return. A steep climb on a well formed route.
Sun or Mon - some other walk
If the weather is not the best we can do shorter walks and entertain ourselves in the town - Mueseum, cafes etc.
IMPORTANT. Please let me know asap if you wish to come as we need to get accommodation booked. ABNB accommodation would be about $80 each for the 2 nights, Cabins at the camp ground $36 each for 2 night.
