Description

A local trip near Maitai Dam, around 7 hours.
Heading towards Maitai Caves you follow an old abandoned track a bit further up the creek before heading off track and through thick ferns (Wear Gaitors) onto a spur towards point 753 for lunch.
Then you follow MTB trails to make a loop back to the cars.
I have done this in part but followed the old track which involved a somewhat bush bash onto the tracks. I am advised this is a better option! So its a Ferny Glade trail!
Its all an adventure and a good Winters day out in our backyard.
Probably Medium trip.
