| A change of plan - we went up the Loveridge Bivvy track end Jan and decided it wasn't a great day trip (ford too deep to drive across, adding an extra 2 hours walking time meant not reaching bush line before needing to return - tree falls on track and river crossings contributed to delays. Baton River is beautiful, and sighted blue duck, but the grunt up Loveridge afforded few views).So, a well walked but always enjoyable alternative. Gordons Knob with an option to do North Peak if weather does not allow the full day.Drive up to Inwood Lookout at just over 1000m. A ridge walk to Gordon Range and across to Gordons Knob (1592m) and/or the unnamed higher peak (1685m) for some spectacular views weather permitting. Return the same way after lunch.
