Saturday:
Take the Watson Creek Route from the Matakitaki River Valley to the bushline to camp in a beautiful spot by the river.

Sunday:
A half day walk up to the ridge at pt 1580, and along the ridge to a tarn where we will set up camp.  From here we will have the afternoon to explore the tops.

Monday:
Descend to Mole Saddle, and return via either the Jameson Ridge track or the Mole Track.

This trip will require a reasonably good weather forecast.  If the weather isn't suitable for camping on the tops on Sunday night we have the option to continue on to Mole Hut (4 bunks). 

Grade: Medium fit

Registration

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
