| RAINBOW VALLEY ROMP. Day 1: Travel up Wairau River past Rainbow ski-field turn-off, to carpark. Walk about 5 hours, criss-crossing river to 6-bunk Paske Hut. This is a beautiful spot, with ample room for camping. Day 2: Return down Paske Valley. Head up Begley Creek to Begley Hut. Day 3: Return via Wairau River. (With a fit party & superb weather, the Hamilton River route could be used.) Note: This trip requires access permission, and lower river levels. |

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
