PARACHUTE ROCKS & BEYOND...

Our intention is to drive to Lake Rotoiti, find and climb the St Arnaud Range Track to the tops above Parachute Rocks.
Choose a bespoke tarn. Camp the night under a starry canopy. Explore further on Sunday morning, then return the same way.
(Alternate exit, if the party is fit, is to walk along to the Rainbow Ski-field, Climb Mt McRae, then descend to the lake track via a scree slide and bush bash :-)

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
