Very short notice replacement for Moss Pass, due to forecast. Plan Tuesday pm, tomorrow, leave Nelson 3.30/4pm. Stay Silvester Hut. Wednesday walk up mt iron and along the ridge, drop down to Ruby lake, camp for the night. Thursday up the ridge behind the campsite to Mt Benson, follow the ridge back toward Iron Lake, then drop down to Diamond lake, and on to camp at Lake Lockett. Friday, follow the trap line out, 3 to 4 hrs, drive home. Weather looks OK till Friday. Disclaimer. I have not done this tramp. So there might be some navigation involved. Help welcome. It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
