Walk from Hackett Car park to Whispering Falls Track. Walk up Hartebreak Ridge (of to the R of Whispering Falls Track) to eventually reach a high point on the Rocks Browning Huts track. wal from this point to Totara Saddle and Browning Hut and out to the Hackett. This is a long day walk, but a group of us on Wednesday did some track marking and pruning of gorse and scrub as far as P596. The terrain is initially steep up to P447, then very rocky along the ridge. |
