Friday: Depending on when people can get away, drive to the start of Chummies Track. Cross the Wangapeka and head up to John Reid Hut. Lots of daylight. Saturday: Early start and head up to the ridge, then turn right. Follow the ridge to Mt Gomorrah and then explore beyond. Give ourselves enough time to arrive back at John Reid by dinner time. Sunday: Descend Chummies then home. NOTE: This is a medium - fit trip. I would appreciate people only registering if they do intend to explore beyond John Reid. |
