SORRY, I had to change the date, I hope that the people that pre-registered can still make it. Day trip to a clearing on the ridgeline of the Bryant Range to admire the view. This clearing is an isolated part of the mineral belt and is clearly visible driving towards Blenheim before the Whangamoa saddle looking East on the ridgeline. Leave Nelson at 8.30, park at the Whangamoa saddle and follow Central road for 2 km, then is bushbashing in native forest until point 1066 m, then down the ridge to the clearing and hopefully a nice view. 11 km return, 1100 m total vertical, 7 hours return Return the same way. Limited water along the way, dense bush, come if you are fit and have a spirit of adventure. Recommended: gators, gloves and safety goggles. Will go ahead only with good weather forecasts.
