Club night at Nelson Underwater Club downstairs hall (previously SeniorNet - same location as previous meetings) - doors open at 7pm for a cuppa and a biscuit, presentation starts at 7:30pm.

Two of our experienced leaders - Peter Warworis and Mike Glover - will talk about trip planning, gear, food, safety etc.  There will be time for questions and discussion.  This is a recap and continuation of their successful talk from last year.  It will be educational and informative for all trampers, and especially useful for those relatively new to tramping, or new to trip leading. 

Details of their presentation are as follows:

• Discussion on trip planning and what we need to consider
• Followed on by a quick summary of what was covered last year - packs, sleeping bags, clothing, tents/shelters and footwear
• Continue discussion on following topics
  • Food & Snacks
  • Cookers
  • First Aid Kits
  • Post Trip Gear Care

They would like participants to tell us about their favourite tramping home-made meal/snack or recipe - so please bring along your ideas!
