Cancelled due to weather forecast Following the cancellation of the Waitangi weekend Pelorus tubing weekend, we will try again for a day trip tubing down the Pelorus We will blow up tubes if you have your own, (I have some extra, on first come first served basis) or you can hire from the Office, then drive up the Pelorus River to the start of the tramping track. We will put in just below that, and float our way down to Pelorus River Bridge. It should be a fast and exciting river. Bring wetsuits if you have, suitable shoes to walk on rocks in the river, and goggle and snorkel if you have some. Bug spray is also recommended, along with suntan cream. This trip is very weather dependent. We will go on Saturday or Sunday bepending on the best weather and the level of the river. Alternatively we can do a walk on one of the surrounding tops. |

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
