Description

Please note that if travelling along a ridge by moonlight in very cold conditions is not you, then join the more sane trip (next trip on list). This trip will leave on Saturday morning in daylight. There will also be a hot drink waiting for you on arrival.

Friday Evening

Walk into Angelus by moonlight along Robert Ridge during the night - early morning. Timing will depend when people can get away from Nelson. I will also check what the moon is doing.

Day 1

Easy day Saturday; once we have arrived at Angelus Hut. Relax, and get the billy and fire on for Brian's group.

Day 2

Join Brian's group to climb Angelus Peak on Sunday morning. Arrive back at the hut for lunch, then along Robert Ridge back to the carpark and home.

Crampon and ice axe skills necessary to get to the hut and beyond. Needless to say a good torch will be useful.
