Description
This is a great spot, and three days makes for a more enjoyable experience. Ice axe and crampons required. Friday: 4WD along the Wairau Road to the start of the Rainbow Valley. Walk up the valley, then up Paske Creek to Paske hut (1 ticket per night) at the head of the valley. Saturday: Early start and walk up the valley and climb Mt Paske by the South-East Ridge. Sunday: Checkout Paske Saddle, or even climb Mt Dora. Return and out. Enjoy a great valley, simple hut (6), open fire and of course the mountains.
