Description
We will depart Richmond Badminton Hall at 8am and travel via Aniseed Valley to the Hacket Picnic area. Whispering Falls and Chromite Mine From Hacket Picnic area follow marked tracks to Whispering Falls. Return to junction and turn left on Hacket track to signposted turnoff to chromite mine. From Hacket Picnic area follow marked tracks towards Hacket hut. We take a track to the right ascending steeply to a ridge where we meet a forestry access road. We decend via the Chromite Mine track exploring the entrances of mines as we go to reach the Hacket track again. We start to head back to the car park till we meet the turnoff to the Whispering Falls. A river crossing and on to Whispering falls where we will climb steeply to be above the falls for a lovely lunch site. Return the same way to the Hacket track and back to cars.
