Description
Depart Nelson Friday night, stay in Trilobite Hut. Set off Saturday morning towards Lake Peel, branch off the Peel track to pick up the trail around the north side of Lake Peel. Will require some scrambling here, but is not too bad. Join the main ridge to Mt Peel, which is about 500 m easy travel to the summit. Return on the south side of Lake Peel and pick up the track to Balloon Hut. Sunday morning return on the Lake Peel track back to the cars.
