The group met at the Prince Albert pub at 8.30 am and off we went up to the Brook starting point.

The weather was cloudy and chilly as we set off walking up to the predator fence to 4 Corners along the Dun Mountain track to Third House for a short tea break then off along the track to the turnoff at Junction Saddle and up to Wooded Peak. There was a bit of a rocky and scrambling section and the group split up a little but all rejoined for a late lunch in the wee bit of sun of the day as we reached the mineral belt. We enjoyed the 360 degree view of the surrounding varied landscape. This apparently always happens when Barry leads a group, the sun that is.
After lunch we headed down towards Windy Point on the Dun Mountain trail and back via Third House. Here it was each to their own and home.
Overall a great, and at times, challenging trip and one to be repeated! Participants Barry (leader), Andrea, Chris, Grant, Kath, Michelle, Dave, Beth,  Ben, Rod, Carol and Linda. Visitor - Paula (scribe). Thanks Barry for organising the trip.
