DESCRIPTION:NTC Snow Skills training @ Robert Lodge 2021.\nPOSTPONED from August to Sep
 tember DUE TO COVID. Hoping we are in L2 lockdown &amp; can be a group of 3
 0 people in the mountain hut together. \nPreference will be given to club m
 embers...\nHopefully enough snow to experience snow skills training in this
  wonderful environment, otherwise just an excise to get out into them mount
 ains and stay in a warm comfy enviroment after lockdown.\nWalk in to Robert
  Lodge early Saturday, and stay the night. Kerosene heating, gas cooking wi
 th pots, pans, cutlery &amp; crockery provided in the lodge, but no showers
 . Solar power now installed but bring your head torch. Toilets are flushed 
 by bucket. Bring your own toilet paper.\nTraining will be in the basin in f
 ront of the Lodge, or we can walk in the area if we want to travel further.
 \nSelf catered, but some may wish to pool their food for Saturday evening. 
 The fee for Robert Lodge is $20, additional to the transport charge. Maximu
 m capacity of Robert Lodge is 30. If the weather forecast is dire, the trip
  will be postponed.\n The object of the training is to;\n\n - hone existing
  snow skills or develop them if you are new to snow travel using gear.\n - 
 practice movement on different types and gradients of snow slopes.\n - gain
  confidence in what is comfortably doable and avoiding what is not.\n - pra
 ctice self-arresting technique in varying conditions.\n - snow travel using
  walking poles will also be covered.\n - Possibly build an igloo or snow ca
 ve..For those of you who are experienced snow trampers, come along to enjoy
  the company of other like-minded trampers and share your experience of sno
 w tramping. Youngsters welcome...\nAnyone able to recite or read poetry for
