 views. We travel to Tui via Tapawera and follow Hodgkinsons Rd till the sta
 rt of the track. The track goes through an area of pine forest at a reasona
 ble incline, then as the incline increases we are in beech forest. The rout
 e is fairly steep and follows a ridge till it flattens off towards the peak
