Maud Valley is accessed from the Howard Val ley. We cross a farm (access permission to be obtained) then wander up the Maud river - multiple stream crossing - and observe mining relics and the r emains of 2 private Huts. It is 2.5hrs to Maud Valley Hut and there is the possibility to go further up the valley through beech forest. Return via sa me route.
