or hut pass, both with heating, no bookings required.\n3 days walking of  5

 h - North:\nday 1)\nMarahau to Castle Rock HutTime: 5 hr 30 min\nDistance:
15.1 km\nFrom Marahau follow the Coast Track to Tinline Bay. Here the Inlan
d Track begins, climbing steadily away from the coast and then steeply thro
ugh regenerating forest.\nAfter 2 h 30 min Holyoake Clearing is reached, wh
ere there is a shelter. Above the clearing the track enters forest and cont
inues climbing to Castle Rock Hut, perched near rock outcrops with wide vie
ws of Marahau Valley and Tasman Bay/Te Tai-o-Aorere.\nday 2)\nCastle Rock H
ut to Awapoto HutTime: 6 hr\nDistance: 13 km\nThe track heads northwards fr
om Castle Rock Hut, then turns west and begins climbing. The gradient steep
ens and then levels again. The track then undulates for a while before desc
ending to Moa Park Shelter (it’s 2 h, 3.5 km to this point), surrounded by
the tussocks of Moa Park itself. There are two side tracks leading to looko
uts; Porter Rock is a granite outcrop worth visiting for its excellent view
s.\nFrom Moa Park Shelter the track crosses a small stream and quickly re-e
nters the stunted beech forest. Upon reaching Evans Ridge it turns north, b
eginning a gradual descent to Awapoto Hut.\nday 3)\nAwapoto Hut to Pigeon S
addle and Wainui CarparkTime: 3 hr\nDistance: 5 km\nBeyond Awapoto Hut the
track steepens then eases again before finally descending steeply to the ro
ad at Pigeon Saddle.\nPigeon Saddle to Wainui carparkTime: 2 hr 25 min\nDis
tance: 8 km\nThe track climbs slightly, passing a turn-off to a good viewpo
int. Travel is then fairly level to the short climb up Gibbs Hill. Beyond G
ibbs Hill are the best views in the whole park as the track descends, steep
ly at first, to the saddle on the Wainui–Whariwharangi section of the Abel
Tasman Coast Track. At this saddle, the track forks and an easy 45-minute d
escent begins to the Wainui car park.\nwe will meet the other party somewhe
re along the track on day 2.\nAs its a reasonably long drive to Wainui, the
trip will only go ahead if I get at least 3 people per car.\n This event w
