Park at the start of Abel Tasman Coastal walk Wainui Bay. Split into 2 p arties; one to follow the Coastal Track to Whariwharangi Beach, and one to rock hop the coast via Taupo Point. Rejoin and continue along the Coastal T rack to Separation Point, Mutton Cove and Totaranui. Ascend to Gibbs Hill, then to the Coastal Track and back to Wainui Bay. Low tide is at 1047. Agil ity and tolerability of mild exposure to heights is required for the Taupo Point option.
If running late, Separation Point can be bypassed.
