DESCRIPTION:There is some great country at our back door. Walk in off the street and ge
 t local! \nWe will start at the Brook St campground, splitting into two par
 ties. 1. Go via Brook Waimarama Sanctuary, entry fee $11. Up the Koru track
  and the wonderful Upper Valley track. Exit to Third House at Toutouwai gat
 e; 2. Alternatively, go outside the fence via the Classic road up to 4-Corn
 ers then on the Dun Mtn Walkway to Third House. Very similar time/effort bu
 t more nature in BWS. Then we continue together on the Dun Mtn Walkway to t
 he saddle under Wooded Peak. Take the track to left that goes along the spu
 r to Fringed Hill where there are excellent views of the city and bay beyon
 d. Then down another spur track to 4-Corners and back to the Brook via the 
 Classic. Nothing technical but beautiful country and vistas, and a good wor
