Arthurs Pass. We have booked CT C hut in Arthurs Pass Village (Friday 18th - Monday 18th April) and plan da y trips over the Easter weekend. $25 per person per night. 2 bunk rooms, on e double, (15 people) possibility of people sleeping on benches in lounge i f more that 15 trampers attending. Hot showers, cooking facilities.
P rovisional plan.
Friday 15th. Mt Te Kinga lookout. (Med) Travel via West coast route towards Arthurs Pass. Meet at Moana at approx 1200. T ravel to Te Kinga and start of Mt Te Kinga track 7.5km. Walk to Lookouts th rough podocarp forest. 300M climb 3hrs return. Continue travel to CTC at Ar thurs Pass (1 hr). Pot luck shared meal tonight?
Sat 16th Avala nche peak circuit (fit) (or scheduled for best weather day of Sat or Sun. E at out?
Sun 17th Bealey Spur. (Med). Travel East to Bealey hotel (14K m) and head up to Bealey Spur hut.2.5hrs. Walk a further 45 mins to Point 1 545. Return by same route. Thgis walk could be done on Monday, with time st ill to return to Nelson albeit late.
