 he Maruia River and follow the Alfred 4wd track to Pell Stream. Follow a go
 od benched track to Gilchrist Creek and descend into Pell Stream. Head upst
 ream, fording where required and exiting the stream bed onto a plateau to a
 void a gorged section. Dropping back into the stream and then crossing 2km
