DESCRIPTION:Mt Duppa (1143 m) is a peak at the northern end of Bryant Range, in Mt Rich
 mond Forest Park. The track to the summit is short, but steep and rough (lo
 ts of rocks and roots). 4.2 km return (about 2 hours to the top). Lovely tr
 ees, interesting rock formations & excellent views from the top. The to
 p is known to be cold & windy, so come prepared. The peak is named afte
 r George Duppa (1819–88), one of Nelson’s earliest settlers and discoverer 
 of chromite deposits on Wooded Peak.\nMt Duppa Track is accessed off State 
 Highway 6 in Whangamoa Valley, 5.4 km north of Whangamoa Saddle. We will me
