DESCRIPTION:You are leading a tramp on Mt.Owen and a trip member goes missing…. what do
  you do?? \nOne of your group gets sick at the hut, is it serious enough to
  activate your PLB? \nA trip member badly sprains their ankle but you’ve go
 t some rope and a strong group of trampers that are keen to help carry them
  out…. How do you make a stretcher? \nYou get lost… should you keep trying 
 to find your way or stay put and activate your beacon? \nWould you know wha
 t to do? We can help. \nThe Nelson Tramping Club is hosting a Leadership We
 ekend at Paretai Lodge in the beautiful Lee Valley for existing trip leader
 s and anyone who is keen to know how to deal with tricky situations in the 
 outdoors and potentially lead trips. Subjects will include: Leadership, Gro
 up and Incident Management, Risk Management, Communication, Trip Planning a
 nd much more. We are going to have a great mix of expert speakers, group di
 scussions and activities and learning by sharing experiences and outcomes. 
 There will be something for everyone, and of course some marshmallows aroun
 d a campfire and some great company to top it all off. \nThe cost of the we
 ekend is $66 for club members and $92 for non-members (cost includes two ni
 ghts’ accommodation and meals for the weekend).\nPlease contact Kate on NTC
