DESCRIPTION:<p>It's a little while since the club visited Scotts Knob. In 2004 we had e
 leven people summit.</p><p>Greigs Hut is accessed via the Leatham Road. For
 d the Leatham River then follow a 4WD track for around 14km along the Branc
 h River. Steep cutouts from side streams can make this track a little chall
 enging.</p><h3>Friday Evening</h3><p>A great way to do this trip is to get 
 into Griegs Hut on Friday evening, climb Scotts Knob on Saturday, then a le
 isurely trip back home on Sunday.</p><p>Flexibility of team members to get 
 away from Richmond around 17:00 (or earlier) will determine the viability o
 f this option.</p><h3>Summit Day (Saturday or Sunday)</h3><p>Leave Greigs H
 ut early and follow Scott Stream and continue up the head of the valley to 
 the saddle. Turn right and climb a steepish section to the summit. 1550m cl
 imb, 14km return.</p><p>Ice axe and crampons required. This is a good follo
